Feedstack ("we", "our", "the app") is built to collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what the app does and does not collect.
Summary
Feedstack does not require an account and does not show ads. The habits, links, reminders and streak history you create are stored on your device. We collect anonymous usage data to understand how the app is used and to fix problems. If you use Streak Buddies, a username and streak counts are stored on our servers.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or have access to:
- Your name, email address, or phone number (except the optional waitlist email described below)
- The links you save as habits
- Your habit names, categories, or reminder times
- Your location
- Your browsing activity outside the app
- Any biometric or health data
Information Stored On Your Device
The following stays on your device and is not sent to us:
- The links (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, Reddit, Spotify, articles, or any other URL) you add as habits
- Habit names, categories, and reminder times
- Your full streak history and completion records
- Your app preferences and settings
If you delete the app, this data is permanently removed from your device.
Anonymous Usage Data
We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage events, such as which screens are opened and which features are used. These events are tied to a random identifier generated by the app, not to your name, email, or account. We use this data only to improve Feedstack. We do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising. You can read PostHog's privacy policy at posthog.com/privacy.
Streak Buddies and Challenges
If you use Streak Buddies, you choose a username. Your username and the streak counts of the habits you choose to share are stored on our servers so the people you connect with can see them. Challenge and badge progress that you share through these features is stored the same way. No other personal data is shared through these features. You can stop using them at any time in Settings, and you can ask us to delete your username and shared data by email.
Waitlist and Email
If you sign up for our waitlist on feed-stack.com, we collect your email address only to send you launch updates and, if applicable, a discount code. You can unsubscribe with the link in any email we send.
Third-Party Services
Feedstack uses these services only for the purpose described:
- PostHog, for anonymous usage analytics.
- Supabase, to store Streak Buddies and challenge data.
- RevenueCat, to manage subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat receives your purchase transaction data as required by Apple and Google to validate purchases. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
- Resend, to send waitlist emails.
- Apple App Store and Google Play, to process payments for Pro subscriptions and the Lifetime purchase. We never have access to your payment card details.
We do not use advertising networks or data brokers, and we do not sell your data.
Your Choices and Rights
We hold very little personal data. If you want your username and shared Streak Buddies data deleted, or your waitlist email removed, email us at the address below and we will delete it promptly. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time.
Children's Privacy
Feedstack is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Data Security
Most of your data stays on your device, so there is no central database of your habits that could be exposed. Data we do store (usernames, shared streak counts, analytics events) is held by Supabase and PostHog under their own security standards. Purchase data is handled by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat under theirs.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If you keep using the app after a change is posted, you accept the updated policy.
